By accessing or using the HD Wallet Derivation Path Explainer (the "Tool"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree, you must not use the Tool. These Terms may be updated; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

The Tool is a free, client-side, educational web utility that helps users understand hierarchical deterministic (HD) wallet derivation paths according to BIP-32, BIP-44, and related standards. It parses paths, visualizes hierarchy, explains levels, and validates against common conventions. No real keys, seeds, or cryptographic operations are performed.

3. No Financial or Investment Advice

The Tool is for educational purposes only. It does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, or wallet-recovery advice. Do not use information from the Tool to make financial decisions. Cryptocurrency involves significant risk of loss. Always verify paths and recovery procedures with official wallet documentation.

  • never enter real seed phrases, private keys, or sensitive wallet data into the Tool
  • verify any path information against official wallet sources before use
  • not rely solely on the Tool for wallet recovery or security decisions

The Tool, its design, text, diagrams, and explanations are provided under an open license (see GitHub repository for details). You may not use our branding or claim affiliation without permission.

8. Third-Party Links & Resources

The Tool may reference external standards (BIP-32, BIP-44, SLIP-44) or link to documentation. We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party sites.

9. Termination

We may discontinue or restrict access to the Tool at any time without notice or liability.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Gauteng.
