Welcome to the BTU to kWh Converter. These Terms govern your use of this free utility. By accessing the tool, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the converter.

The BTU to kWh Converter is a lightweight, static application providing live bidirectional conversion with fifteen decimal places of precision. All processing occurs locally in your browser. The tool is provided free of charge and “as is” without any warranty.

You agree to use the converter only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the tool in an unauthorized way.
  • Use the tool in any manner that could damage or impair its functionality.
  • Remove or alter any copyright or AxelBase attribution notices.

3. Accuracy & Independent Verification

While we use precise conversion factors (1 BTU = 0.000293071077 kWh), we do not guarantee absolute accuracy for every possible use case. Users are responsible for verifying critical calculations independently for engineering or safety applications.

4. No Data Collection

As detailed in our Privacy Policy, this tool is fully client-side. Your inputs are never transmitted, stored, or seen by the developer. Your session remains private on your own hardware.

5. Intellectual Property

The design, code, and content of this converter are the property of the developer. You may use the tool freely for professional purposes, but you may not resell the application as your own product.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AxelBase and its developers shall not be liable for any incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the converter. The tool is provided on an “as available” basis.
