1. Introduction

Welcome to the Simple Image Format Converter, a fully client-side web utility that allows you to convert images between JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, and BMP formats directly in your browser. We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy. This tool operates entirely offline and never transmits any data to us or any third party. Because no personal information or image content ever leaves your device, this Privacy Policy is short and straightforward: we collect nothing.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Due to the pure client-side architecture of the converter, we do not collect, store, log, or have access to:

  • Personal Identifiable Information — names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other identifiers.
  • Image Content — the photos, screenshots, graphics, or documents you upload or convert stay exclusively on your device.
  • Technical Data — IP addresses, browser fingerprints, device types, operating systems, or geolocation information.
  • Usage Analytics — no tracking of which formats are chosen, how many conversions occur, or session duration.
  • Cookies or Similar Technologies — we do not use cookies, localStorage for tracking, pixels, beacons, or any form of persistent identifier.

All processing — file reading, image preview, canvas drawing, format conversion, and download — happens locally in your browser using native APIs such as File API and Canvas. We have no server infrastructure capable of receiving your data.

3. How Your Data Is Handled

When you select an image file:

  • The browser reads it using the File API and creates a temporary object URL for preview.
  • The image is drawn to an in-memory canvas element.
  • The converted result is generated as a Blob and offered for download — all without ever leaving your device.

Any temporary data (e.g., the preview URL or canvas content) exists only during your browser session and is automatically discarded when you close the tab or refresh the page. We do not implement any form of persistent storage.

4. Third-Party Services and CDNs

The tool may load Bootstrap CSS and JS from public CDNs for styling and layout. These requests do not include personal data and are standard static asset fetches. No analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts are included. We do not partner with any services that monitor user behavior.

5. Security Considerations

While we collect no data, security ultimately depends on your device and browser. We recommend:

  • Using an up-to-date, reputable browser.
  • Avoiding public or shared computers for sensitive images.
  • Being cautious when downloading converted files to untrusted locations.

6. Children’s Privacy

This tool is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly process data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy occasionally. Updates will appear here with a new effective date. Continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
