By using the Grapheme Cluster Counter (“the Tool”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. The Tool is a free, open-source, client-side web utility that counts grapheme clusters, code points, UTF-16 units, and UTF-8 bytes in any text you enter.
1. Nature of the Service
The Tool runs entirely in your browser. No data is transmitted to any server. You may use it for personal, educational, or commercial purposes without restriction.
2. License
The Tool is released under the MIT License. You are free to:
- Use it on any website or device
- Copy, modify, or fork the source code
- Distribute modified versions
- Use it commercially
Attribution is appreciated but not required.
3. No Warranty
The Tool is provided “as is” without any warranties, express or implied. While we strive for accuracy using the official Unicode Standard and browser APIs, we do not guarantee 100% correctness in every possible edge case. Use at your own risk.
4. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the authors be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the Tool, even if advised of the possibility of such damage.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Tool to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Attempt to overload or attack the hosting infrastructure (GitHub Pages)
- Misrepresent the Tool’s output as legally binding in regulated contexts without verification
