Welcome to the Advanced ETH Unit & Gas Fee Calculator, a free, open-source web utility ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains our data practices for this client-side tool that helps users convert Ethereum units, estimate gas fees, and simulate EIP-1559 mechanics. We prioritize user privacy above all and design the tool to operate entirely in your browser. No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted to us or any third party. This policy provides full transparency into our minimal approach.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
The tool functions without gathering any information from users. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Personal Information: Names, email addresses, wallet addresses, IP addresses, or any identifiers.
- Usage Data: Browser details, device type, location, or interaction patterns.
- Input Data: Any Wei/Gwei values, gas limits, or simulation parameters you enter remain strictly on your device.
- Analytics or Tracking: No cookies, pixels, fingerprints, or monitoring tools are implemented.
All calculations and live data fetches (gas prices, ETH/USD rate) occur locally after retrieval, with no logging on our end.
3. How the Tool Operates
When using the calculator:
- Client-Side Processing: Unit conversions, fee calculations, and EIP-1559 simulations use JavaScript (including BigInt for precision) executed solely in your browser.
- Live Data Retrieval: Public APIs provide current gas prices and ETH market rates directly to your browser—no intermediary server involvement.
- Local Only: Temporary session data (e.g., inputs) may use browser memory but clears on reload or close.
This architecture ensures complete data isolation—your activity stays private by design.
4. Third-Party Data Sources
The tool fetches public blockchain data from trusted APIs (e.g., Blocknative for gas, CoinGecko for prices). These requests are anonymous and contain no user identifiers. We select sources that respect privacy and do not track individual requests.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We do not use cookies, localStorage for persistence, or any tracking technologies. The experience is fully stateless beyond the current session.
6. Data Security
Since no data reaches us, security risks are minimal. We recommend using updated browsers and secure connections (HTTPS) for optimal protection during API fetches.
7. Children's Privacy
The tool is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly process any minor's information.
8. International Compliance
Our no-collection model aligns with global standards including GDPR, CCPA, and similar frameworks by default.
